[iDC] Introductions: Audrey Watters

[Audrey Watters]

Hey hey hey. I'm Audrey -- education writer, recovering academic, serial
dropout. I write about education and technology -- politics, pedagogy and
tech industry bullshittery. My blog is Hack Education, and I'm currently
working on a book called Teaching Machines, that looks in part at the
long-running efforts to automate education.

I'm particularly interested in assertions that technology will or will not
replace teachers -- questions about labor and teaching machines. But I
think we need to consider students' labor too, particularly as their
content and data is used to feed The Algorithms.

Really looking forward to this event.
